vA.I.ndalism
For years I had concepts, characters, visual ideas living in sketches and references, things I wanted to bring to life but didn't have the skills or pipeline to pull off. Not at the quality I wanted. Not at the pace to iterate and push.
Then the tools showed up, models and workflows that'll probably be obsolete in 6 months, I know. But I could finally test at speed, iterate the concept, spend my energy on what matters.
The craft execution isn't there yet, the rendering, the consistency, the technical polish. But it’s moving toward that.
vA.I.ndalism is exactly this. A character who marks his territory knowing it will disappear anyway. It's a concept about creative compulsion in a world that keeps erasing. And it's also exactly what I'm doing right now, making marks while I can, testing ideas I believe in, knowing the tools and the work will shift.
This is what's shifted for me. The tools aren't there to replace craft. They're there to let you test faster. To iterate the thinking. To direct the vision instead of being bottlenecked by technical limits.
The execution will catch up. But the thinking, that's already useful.
