The Beauty Machine

We built a machine that did exactly what social media does — and made people watch it happen in real time.
Set inside London's Waterloo Station, The Beauty Machine generated near-identical "ideal" faces on a loop, making algorithmic bias impossible to look away from. The point wasn't to explain the problem. It was to make it visceral.
Then we flipped it: an open call invited women to submit their own faces to replace the machine's narrow standard — turning an installation about sameness into a platform for real diversity.
